Area of production: Vineyards on the foothills of Etna on lavic soils highly rich in minerals, characterized by notable temperature changes between day and night.
Pruning systems: Alberello (sapling)
Refinement: maturing in oak barrels and chestnut for at least 6 months and bottled for a minimum of 4 months
Characteristics: Color: Ruby red Flavor: intense, fruity and spicy.
Alcohol content: 13. 5% vol
Food pairing: particularly recommended as an accompaniment to robust food such as red meat and mature cheeses.
